Susquehanna® Pawpaw is the largest and latest-ripening selection among Peterson Pawpaws, producing exceptionally sweet, richly flavored fruit with minimal seeds. Individual fruits can exceed 1 lb. Native to eastern North America, Asimina triloba is the sole member of the custard apple family suited for temperate climates, with tropical relatives like cherimoya and soursop. Its fruit offers a unique banana-like sweetness combined with creamy, custard-textured flesh. Rich in protein, vitamins, and minerals, this 3″–6″ greenish-yellow fruit thrives in USDA zone 5, showing impressive cold hardiness.
